Hi, I'm Karen!

Karen Sanchez is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of child welfare experience in dependency and family court.  Mrs. Sanchez has  provided operational leadership to Case Management agencies and to the Community Based Care (CBC) Lead Agency  under the umbrella of Our Kids  for child welfare services in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. She has overseen Dependency Drug Court,  Adoptions, Case Management, Quality Assurance, Training to DCF Protective Investigators and Case Managers, and Intake and Case Planning.  She has also worked as a psychotherapist  in private practice and with health care management organizations. 

In 2015, Mrs. Sanchez founded Family Crossroads Solutions, Inc.,  offering families visitations in natural settings.   Family Crossroads Solutions, Inc., is approved as a visitation provider by the  Florida Supervised Visitation Clearinghouse. Since opening it's doors, the agency has expanded  services to include: monitored exchanges, reunification therapy, coaching (parent and individual), and clinical supervision to Registered Clinical Social Work Interns. 

Mrs. Sanchez  received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and her Masters degree from Barry University.   She completed her clinical practicum at  Victim Services Center where she provided trauma counseling and services to children and adults . 

Mrs. Sanchez is also fluent in Spanish.  

• We provide  supervised and therapeutic visitation services in cases where there is high family conflict, parental alienation, flight-risk, dual diagnosis, parenting issues, problems related to divorce/separation/custody. Supervised visitation provides an avenue for children to have and maintain a safe relationship with one or both parents. During therapeutic visitations, the therapist provides guidance to the parents to improve  discipline techniques, effective parent child communication, and ways to decrease inappropriate interactions between parent and child. 
• Facilitate monitored exchanges- provide a safe, neutral setting for exchanges between custodial and noncustodial parent immediately before and after unsupervised visitation. 
• Reunification Therapy- family therapy that aims to reunite or reestablish a relationship, usually between a parent and child. It promotes healthy communication, and works to heal injuries in the relationship. 
• Parent coaching services-  support parents to navigate their child’s specialized mental health and developmental needs (new parents and transition issues). 
• Personal Coach- focus on personal goals and inner richness.
